Denisse Girón joined Gotham in 2015 as an Associate, where she works in general administrative tasks, association management, event planning, and drafting press releases and advisories.
Denisse also handles all of the firm’s lobbying compliance regulations federally, in New York State, New York City, Nassau and Suffolk County, and New Jersey.
Prior to working at Gotham, Denisse completed a fellowship with The Roosevelt Institute, where she focused on financial literacy empowerment and marijuana reform laws in the Bronx and Harlem. She also worked with Make the Road New York, the largest immigration group in the state, to lobby for immigration reform.
Last year, Denisse was named as one of the New York Hispanic Coalition’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. She has also received a citation from Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano for her work with immigrant communities and named as a 2015 Andrew Goodman Foundation Citizen Hero.
Denisse graduated with honors from Hofstra University with a B.A in History and minors in Sustainability and Sociology.
