NYSAIF INTRODUCES NEW SPOKESMAN:

A nefarious – and pointedly obnoxious – cartoon character called “Frankie the Fraudster” was today named a 2012 spokesman for New Yorkers Stand Against Insurance Fraud (NYSAIF), an organization of drivers fighting rampant auto insurance fraud in the Empire State.

The Islanders are not done in Nassau County; in fact, the failure of the bond referendum has placed a new emphasis on privately developing the Hub. Our role as fans and supporters of development should now be to change the conversation on what should be done to revitalize the Hub and keep the Islanders in Nassau County. Some of the best and brightest minds are now developing plans for the Hub, so the question now becomes, how do we best utilize the land and keep the Islanders in Nassau County.

Harlem Fights Back Against Walmart

The retail giant would need to open 159 stores in order obtain the same 21% grocery market share it enjoys in the rest of the country, making Harlem a prime target. When Donald Trump — introduced as “the person that’s going to save Long Island and save New York” — stepped up to the microphones today before a group of about 200 admiring supporters of his Nassau County Trump on the Ocean project plans, he began with an ironic story. Patch: Trump Rallies Support for his Jones Beach Catering Facility Proposal

Wednesday’s rally held next to site where Trump wants to build was organized by a newly formed advocacy group called Alliance to Revitalize Jones Beach, which was founded by Rafe Lieber, a Plainview resident who worked as a legislative aide to former State Sen. Craig Johnston. The rally featured numerous chants of “We want jobs” and “Let Trump build.”
